All of our coaches are USA Volleyball certified. Furthermore, Legacy has committed to making sure each and every one of our head coaches reaches their full potential so they can help your players do the same! To help facilitate this, we recommend all of our coaches attend the Art of Coaching clinic within their first year of coaching for us. This high quality coaching clinic has college coaches from some of the best programs in the nation providing instruction. We know that what really helps your child improve at the sport they love is having a good coach and we are committed to having the best coaching staff in the area!
Club Director/17 Elite Coach
Angela started playing volleyball when she was 10 years old. She played volleyball for 4 years at Cardinal Stritch High School, 8 years of travel volleyball, as well as 1 year at the University of Findlay. She continues to play beach several nights a week. Angela started coaching travel volleyball in 2005. Since then she has coached at multiple schools, including, Mason Consolidated, Kateri Academy, Waite High School, Varsity Assistant at Notre Dame Academy, Varsity Head Coach at her alma mater, Cardinal Stritch for 3 years and Varsity at Toledo Christian. In 2016, Angela was awarded TAAC Coach of the Year. She has a great passion for the girls excelling at the sport she loves.
Assistant Club Director/ Little Legacy Director/ 13 Legacy Coach
Cierra started playing volleyball in 2001 (5th grade). She played travel throughout grade school and high school. She attended high school at Cardinal Stritch where she played volleyball all 4 years with 3 years being a varsity member. After graduating, she continued playing at the University of Toledo on the women's club team for 2 years. Cierra began her coaching career in 2012 as the JV Head Coach at Clay High School where she coached for two years and then Toledo Central Catholic for 1 year. She also coached with Angela for 3 years back at their alma mater as the Varsity Assistant. She is currently the 7th grade coach at Arbor Hills JH. 15 Elite Coach
Craig began playing volleyball in 2010. After 2 straight years of playing, he realized the sport came easily to him and began playing in prize-winning tournaments for both sand and indoor. He competes in a number of local leagues/tournaments and has also competed at some very high levels, including playing in the NVL (National Volleyball League), as well as the men's USAV Indoor Nationals. His coaching career began in 2014 as an assistant to Cierra, where they coached 15U and 16U. In 2016, Craig took on the challenge of being a head coach for the first time. In that first year, he led his team to a #17 finish out of 200+ teams. They then went on to AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL and won their division. Craig is focused on helping his teams to succeed by not only teaching them the basic skills of volleyball, but also by teaching them the mental aspects of the game. Craig has also coached at Timberstone Jr. High School.
17 Legacy Coach
Madison graduated from Clay HS in 2014 where she played volleyball for 4 years, as well as club volleyball for 5 years. Madison graduated from the University of Toledo in 2018 where she stayed involved with volleyball by reffing and participating in intramural (indoor and sand) volleyball. She started her coaching career at Toledo Christian, coaching JV for the 2019 season. When she's not on the court, she's in the classroom, teaching middle school Math & Science.
Melissa graduated from Cardinal Stritch HS in 2012 where she played volleyball for 4 years. She played travel and sand volleyball throughout high school. After graduating, she continued playing at the University of Toledo on the women's club team. Melissa continues to play volleyball in adult leagues several nights a week. This is Melissa's 3rd year coaching club and she has 12 years playing experience.
11 Legacy Coach
Mahala graduated from Madison HS (Michigan) in 2018. There she received multiple conference honors and was 1st team academic all-state. She also played travel volleyball throughout HS and attended AAU nationals with her team. She currently attends the University of Toledo studying Human Resource Management. This will be her second year coaching club but has had experience coaching 10-13U in house teams and is currently the JH coach at Cardinal Stritch.
14 Legacy Coach
Morgan graduated from Whitmer High School in 2018 as a libero. She has been playing volleyball since she was 10. She played 5 years of travel and played 1 year in college at Bluffton University. She coach's at Whitmer High School for 8th grade. She loves the game, and is looking forward to passing her knowledge down.
14 Elite Coach
David has been playing volleyball for over 25 years competing in both sand and indoor leagues and tournaments. He currently plays in local sand and indoor leagues around the area. He has been coaching for over 15 years, starting out at the 5th grade level all the way up to becoming a Varsity assistant at Eagle River High School in Alaska. This will be his 7th year as a head coach for club volleyball. His primary focus is teaching the fundamentals of volleyball while trying to grow his players love for the game.
16 Elite Coach
Abby played volleyball for a total of 11 years. She graduated from Cardinal Stritch in 2016 where she played 4 years of volleyball and also 3 years of travel. She went on to play 4 years at Defiance College as a Varsity player. She started coaching in 2017 and has had experience coaching all levels. She is currently the JV Coach and Assistant Varsity coach at Cardinal Stritch. She has a strong passion for teaching girls the knowledge and skills that she has gained over the years.
16 Legacy Coach
Candace started playing volleyball at 10 years old. She played for 13 years. She graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach California. She played DS/Libero for Lees-McRae College in NC.
14 Elite Assistant Coach
Katie has been playing volleyball for over 25 years competing in both sand and indoor leagues and tournaments. She currently plays in local sand and indoor leagues around the area. She has been coaching for over 15 years, starting out at the 5th grade level all the way up to becoming the Junior Varsity Coach at Eagle River High School in Alaska. This will be her 3rd year coaching for club volleyball. Her primary focus for coaching is improving technique, promoting self confidence, encouraging team spirit, and to have a great time playing this competitive sport that we love.
